Cesare Giovacchini

He was born on July 7th, 1952.
After having attended the art school “A. Passaglia” in his native town, he enrolled to the academy of art in Florence, sculpture course (a course by Oscar Gallo) and he graduated in 1971.
From 1972 to this day he has taught Art at the secondary school.

He lives and works in Lucca where, among other jobs, he makes silver and gold artefacts for the art workshop “La bottega di Nello”.

Since 1791, this studio gathers silversmiths working in the area.
He has taken part to several exhibitions and national shows; his works are in private collections all over the world.
Among his public artworks we can mention:

1998_ Bronze door made of six panels decorated with figures for the Romanesque parish church in San Gennaro, Lucca;

2008_ Bronze monument dedicated to the Orlando Furioso by Ludovico Ariosto for the
Castelnuovo di Garfagnana Local Council, Lucca.
